On 4 December, the CEI Executive Secretariat, in its capacity as Lead Partner and GECT Euregio Senza Confini jointly hosted the ADRIPASS dissemination event in Trieste, Italy.
On 26 – 27 November, the 6th Steering Committee Meeting of the CONNECT2CE project was organised by Intermodal Transport Cluster (project partner) in Zagreb (Croatia).
On 12-14 November, the Albanian Development Fund organised and hosted the 5th Steering Committee Meeting and 6th Cross-Field Visit of the BLUE_BOOST project in Albania.
Around 150 participants from public institutions, enterprises, banks, the European Commission and experts from CEI Member States, gathered in Milan on 15 November for the CEI Business and Experts Forum “Infrastructural and multimodal connectivity as factor of development and integration”.
On 31 October, the CEI-Executive Secretariat in Trieste hosted a workshop in the framework of the Interreg Central Europe project CONNECT2CE and the Interreg ADRION project Inter-Connect focusing on identifying strategic priorities to improve inland and maritime cross-border intermodal connectivity.
On 18-20 October 2019, BLUE_BOOST project participated at the Rome Maker Faire – the European edition. Maker Faire is the greatest show and tell about invention, creativity and resourcefulness, celebrating more than 220 fairs in 400 countries, reaching over 1.4 million attendees globally.
In the framework of the 13th Symposium “Novel Technologies and economic development”, the final event of the SAFEMEAT project was organised in Leskovac (Serbia) on 18 October by the Faculty of Technology in Leskovac, University of Niš, Serbia.
On 10-11 October, the Istituto Affari Internazionali and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, organised a CEI Dialogue Forum on Youth in Rome, under the Italian CEI Presidency.
Ten Partners of the 4helix+ Project consortium met in Ancona on 25 September for their 4th Steering Committee Meeting. The Partners reviewed the state-of-the-art of the Project, paying particular attention to the implementation of the 48 small-scale innovative projects that have been recently awarded with a EUR 10.000 4helix+ Innovation Voucher each.
On 11-12 September, the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Zadar County Chamber organised a transnational Cross-Field Visit within the framework of the BLUE_BOOST project in the Zadar County, Croatia.
On 9-10 September, the CEI-ES organised a transnational Cross-Field Visit in the Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) region within the framework of the BLUE_BOOST project. In its capacity of project partner, the CEI hosted the project partners from other 6 ADRION regions, who participated together with their respective Blue Growth experts and company representatives.
On 1 August 2019, Trieste Trasporti and Slovenske Železnice (Slovenian railways) signed the amendment of the agreement for the extension of a new cross-border integrated public transport service (bus/train) between Trieste and Ljubljana, at the CEI headquarters. On 30 August the regional council agreed on this extension and adopted a specific act proposed by the Regional Minister for Infrastructure and Territory, Graziano Pizzimenti.
On 3-5 September, CEI Alternate Secretary General (ASG) Antal Nikoletti participated in the 29th edition of the Economic Forum in Krynica (Poland) the largest conference in Central and Eastern Europe.
On 3-4 July, the Port of Bar hosted at its premises the fourth steering committee meeting of the project INTER-CONNECT (Intermodality Promotion and Rail Renaissance in Adriatic – Ionian Region) financed under the Interreg ADRION Programme and supported by the ERDF and IPAII funds.
In the framework of BLUE_BOOST project, Blue Hackathon - the first “marathon” of sustainable innovation in Friuli Venezia Giulia dedicated to the sea was held in Trieste on 18 and 19 June 2019, at Stazione Marittima in Trieste.
The CEI - Executive Secretariat, in cooperation with ARIES and MareFVG, has organised three BLUE_BOOST Info days in Trieste, held on 29 May, and on 14 and 18 June.
On 5-7 June 2019, the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised and hosted a Brokerage event, a 3rd Cross-Field Visit and the BLUE_BOOST Project Steering Committee meeting respectively in Thessaloniki, Greece.
