The International Conference on the Future of Cycling in Albania was held in Tirana on 4 May 2024.
The event, focused on urban cycling and the implications of cycling in health, tourism and attracted experts in urban planning, scholars, students and enthusiasts who engaged in a series of productive discussions and exchanges.
The gathering made use of regional insights for craftng cycling models to be applied in Albania. These were particularly well-received and have set the stage for ongoing collaboration and research in the field. The engagement on social media was particularly vibrant, with participants sharing their insights and experiences, further amplifying the impact of the event.
The organisers are willing to follow up also through this enlarged network and plan on continuing to drive progress in urban cling and cycling tourism.
