Concluding event of BSBF promotional roadshow held in Podgorica

The 8th and concluding event of the promotional roadshow of the Big Science Business Forum (BSBF) in CEI countries was held in Podgorica on 12 July 2024. Jointly organised by the Chamber of Economy, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, with support from the Italian Embassy and the CEI Secretariat, the event  offered a comprehensive  presentation of the BSBF and its opportunities for business partnerships to a wide audience of Montenegrin stakeholders.

The event was opened by the President of the Chamber of Economy, Nina Drakić, and featured introductory remarks from State Secretary, Marijeta Barjaktarović – Lanzardi (Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation of Montenegro), H.E. Andreina Marsella (Ambassador of Italy to Montenegro), CEI National Coordinator, Radovan Bogojević (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and Alessandro Lombardo from the CEI - Executive Secretariat.

Paolo Acunzo from ENEA, Director of the hosting organisation of the BSBF Trieste 2024, provided the audience with detailed information on the BSBF, as well as on the emerging Big Science common market in Europe, which could represent a significant opportunity for companies, operators and innovators from Montenegro.

The BSBF promotional roadshow - which started in Belgrade (February 2024), with stops in Bratislava (March 2024), Prague (March 2024), Warsaw (April 2024), Budapest (May 2024), Zagreb (June 2024) and Ljubljana (June 2024) – reached out to about 300 key-stakeholders, thus ensuring a strong contribution from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern European countries to the future development of Big Science.

These topics will be further discussed during the BSBF Parallel Session “Opportunities for Big Science in Central Europe”, moderated by the CEI, scheduled for 2 October 2024 (see BSBF 2024 programme).
