Conference on “Hidden Discrimination towards people with sensory disabilities” held in Bulgaria

The conference sessions on the topic of 'Hidden Discrimination against People with Sensory Disabilities (HiDis)' were successfully held in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) on 25-26 June 2024. Organised by the European Network for Inclusion Beyond Borders (E.N.I.B.B.) and hosted by the National Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind, the gathering aimed at promoting the empowerment of people with sensory disabilities and, in particular, to react to and prevent hidden discrimination towards them. The discussions were aimed at raising awareness with the objective of creating an inclusive environment for democratic participation and engagement in civic life.

The topics of the various panels dealt with accessibility of the education environment, web accessibility and digital inclusion and hidden discrimination under the cover of pseudo-humanism.
