A delegation from the CEI-Executive Secretariat, led by Secretary General Roberto Antonione, visited Chisinau on 28-29 November for consultations on next year’s CEI Presidency under the Republic of Moldova.
They were received by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mr. Vladimir Cuc, who confirmed his country's commitment to the CEI and its core goals, stating that it would do its utmost to perform a fruitful Presidency. He added that the current circumstances had put two main political priorities on the table which would certainly be dealt with, i.e. furthering European integration and coping with the consequences of the aggression in Ukraine; and that other issues would also be duly taken into consideration.
On this occasion, interlocutors were the Minister of Education and Research, Mr. Anatolie Topală; the State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Ms. Svetlana Nicolaescu; the President of the Parliament, Mr. Igor Gorsu, and the Minister of Economy, Mr. Dumitru Alaiba.
The CEI - Executive Secretariat, among other things, provided information on current and upcoming activities regarding tangible cooperation and flow of information for a successful outcome of the Presidency.
