Young leaders and experts from 20 countries across and outside the Central European region gathered in Ljubljana and Bled, Slovenia, on 26-28 August, to attend the 11th edition of the Young Bled Strategic Forum under the title “Democracy fit for the new age”. The opening of the event took place within the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, with remarks by H.E. Madam President of the National Assembly Ms. Urška Klakočar Zupančič.
The two venues of the annual conference - acting as a hub for creativity, capacity building and cooperation - enabled the participants to engage in lively dynamic panel discussions, workshops, training and interactive working methods. They developed out-of-the-box solutions to some of the most pressing world issues tackling topics such as diversity and transnational cooperation, media literacy and information society. The debates and exchange of views followed a three-stage format with a panel discussion at the beginning, a world café and working - group debate which allowed closer and more dynamic interactions among experts and the participants.
The Young BSF participants also had the chance to continue their discussions at the 17th Bled Strategic Forum, held in Bled (Slovenia) between 29-30 August 2022, under the title The Rule of Power or Power of Rules. The representatives of each young working group presented their ideas, creativity, recommendations and proposals elaborated during their three-day event, in a guided panel discussion organised by the National Youth Congress of Albania and Tirana European Youth Capital 2022.
This event was co-funded by the CEI Cooperation Fund.
