The International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar, in cooperation with the Croatian Ministry of Culture, organised the international conference “Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe Today” in Zadar, Croatia on 25-27 October 2018.
In celebrating the European Year of Cultural Heritage, the aim of the Conference was to identify key current issues and challenges and to explore how they could be addressed and encourage people to explore Europe’s rich and diverse underwater cultural heritage.
Experts in the field of underwater archaeology from all over Europe had the opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices with regard to achievements in the protection and preservation of underwater cultural heritage and the availability of advanced technology that enhances the discovery of underwater cultural heritage.
This activity was co-funded by the CEI Cooperation Fund in the framework of the CEI Croatian Presidency for 2018.
