CEI Cooperation Fund: “SMEs – regional networking and business improvement”

SME representatives from Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered in Belgrade, Serbia, on 19 February 2016 to attend the conference “Small and medium-sized enterprises - regional networking and business improvement“.

The main objective of the Conference was to boost SME development in the CEI region through exchange of knowledge and good practices, networking and dialogue with public officials in support of a business-friendly environment.

The conference was organised by the Business Info Group in partnership with the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and co-funded by the CEI Cooperation Fund. It confirmed that the SME sector represented a major potential and development chance for the whole region, which could be a source of confident suppliers and modern industry in the SME sector based on knowledge, new technology and competitiveness.

One of the main benefits of this gathering was the networking opportunity, which could bring about support for a future business expansion through tangible cooperation among SMEs from neighboring countries through exports or joint penetration into new markets. Ideas for improvements of the business climate and funding opportunities were also discussed with public officials and SME associations.
