In the framework of the EU-funded project ITHACA (InnovaTion in Health And Care for All) - aimed at enhancing efficient regional ecosystems by supporting the development of effective and innovative health-related solutions for an active and healthy aging - the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region organised the Second Regional Stakeholders’ Workshop in Trieste on 22 February.
Representatives of public institutions, policymakers, health-related bodies, academia, research and innovation, and the third sector from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region attended the meeting.
The meeting was organised by with the support of the Central European Initiative, that is in charge of all management and communication-related activities of the project.
During the event, a presentation of the main results of the self-assessment tool questionnaire elaborated by the University of Ljubljana was presented.
All participants actively discussed the main outputs of this tool, designed as one of the main instruments of ITHACA project to evaluate the health and care ecosystems of the nine regions participating in the project.
By identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each region and design new strategies, ITHACA aims at improving regional development and smart specialisation policies in order to make them more effective.
