The fifth CEI Committee of National Coordinators (CNC) meeting under the BiH Presidency, in Trieste on 11 October, paid special attention to recent and upcoming events both of the CEI Presidency and of the Secretariat. With regard to the former, the outcome of the recent MFA Meeting held in New York on 22 September and the upcoming CEI Summit in November were highlighted. The Presidency also informed the CNC on the organisation of a CEI Business Forum taking place in November with the timber industry on top of its agenda.
The CEI Secretariat mainly outlined its feature events in the fields of culture and media, in particular the South East Europe Media Forum (SEEMF) in Belgrade on 21-22 November, one of the largest appointments for journalists in the Region.
The Secretariat also briefed the CNC on the recent activities in the field of migration and on the measures taken for strengthening cooperation with Member States and International Institutions.
The agenda was concluded with the analysis of projects submitted for approval in the framework of the CEI Cooperation Fund, of the recently approved technical assistance assignments and of the to-be-approved know-how transfer projects, both supported through the CEI Fund at the EBRD.
