A Grant Agreement related to the project-proposal “Improving Cooperation in South-East Europe by Actions for Strengthening the Regional Cooperation Council” was signed yesterday by the Central European Initiative (CEI) and the Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission.
CEI Alternate Secretary General, Giorgio Rosso Cicogna, stated “needless to say, we are satisfied for the recognition of the CEI competences and our role as promoter of regional cooperation for European integration. The fact that the RCC Secretariat has demonstrated complete willingness to collaborate represents a reason of further satisfaction”. The project, which will formally start as of the beginning of January 2012, envisages an intense calendar of activities aiming at strengthening the RCC Secretariat: study tours to other international organisations, capacity-building seminars, stakeholder conferences as well as the introduction of most innovative ICT tools, will be some of the initiatives proposed by the CEI with the ultimate aim to promote the enhancement of regional cooperation between and among the countries of South-East Europe.
