The CEI-WHO Task Force on COVID-19 is holding a webinar on the dual track primary care response to COVID-19 in collaboration with the WHO European Centre for Primary Care in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on November 11, at 10:00h-11:30h (CET). The event targets government officials from the 17 CEI Member States.
Depending on the phase of the epidemic, the focus of service delivery needs to change requiring rapid shifts in priorities and allocation of resources, while maintaining a baseline functionality for both. This dual-track approach presents an extreme challenge for policymakers and health facility mangers in agility and rapid alignment of key health system functions to accommodate increased demand for health services.
On this occasion, the features of a dual track dynamic approach will be outlined and discussed, with special emphasis on the role of primary care and cross-cutting enablers in the health system, how to protect vulnerable people in the context of long-term care, and health workforce and digital policies and solutions.
