Yesterday the CEI-Executive Secretariat (CEI-ES) chaired the kick-off meeting and first steering committee meeting of the newly launched MIMOSA (Maritime and multimodal sustainable passenger transport solutions and services). With a total budget of EUR 7,140,000.00, the 34-month project will improve the offer of multimodal sustainable passengers’ transport solutions and services, by promoting a new cross-border approach for passenger mobility in the programme area.
“The CEI-Executive Secretariat has been involved in EU-project implementation since 2004 and MIMOSA represents an important asset for CEI member countries since mobility in cross-border areas contributes to economic and social integration, which has always been among the CEI top priorities, ”said CEI Deputy Secretary General Nina Kodelja.
The CEI-ES, in its capacity as Lead Partner, comprehensively outlined the project’s cycle management and main technical activities to be developed with the 17 partners on board, ranging from public authorities, transport and infrastructure providers, business support organisations and higher education and research institutions.
