In the framework of the CEI Know-how Exchange Programme (KEP) financed by the CEI Fund at the EBRD, the project TRAIN-DIE started with a kick-off meeting held in Parma on 18 January 2019.
The project focuses on training activities in dietary assessment and sharing platforms for monitoring population food consumption habits in a long-term perspective.
The meeting aimed at discussing the requirements for knowledge sharing in training highly specialist interviewers who will be able to conduct national dietary surveys according to the EU Menu methodology developed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
Participants included representatives of the project leader, Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA) and the Food and Nutrition Research Center in Rome (CREA-AN); and the project’s beneficiaries: the Centre of Excellence in Nutrition Research of the Institute for Medical Research, the University of Belgrade, and the Capacity Development in Nutrition CAPNUTRA Association in Belgrade.
As part of the project, an appropriate action plan and dissemination programme will be carried out, including a final conference after testing the system components.
