On the occasion of the XI edition of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce Forum (AIC Forum) on 11-13 May in Budva CEI Alternate Secretary General Giorgio Rosso Cicogna and the President of the AIC Forum Jadranka Radovanic signed a Partnership Agreement.
The Agreement provides a legal framework for developing a “project-oriented” partnership between the two stakeholders in fields of mutual interest such as transport, SME development including tourism, women entrepreneurship, environment and agriculture.
Mr Rosso Cicogna illustrated the main activities of the CEI, focusing on its Economic Dimension and related instruments for implementing programmes and projects. Special attention was paid to the priorities shared by both organizations. The AIC Forum gathers 38 Chambers of Commerce belonging to Countries bordering the Adriatic and Ionian basin. It operates through thematic working tables and over the years has developed a significant expertise in EU Projects.
During the Working Group on Tourism, the guidelines for a joint programme - STEP Europe (Sustainable Tourism and Related Entrepreneurship Potential in Europe). Interregional Partnership for Developing Tourism and Related Business in Central and South-East Europe - between the CEI and the AIC Forum were presented.
