The CEI-funded forum organised by the cluster of health, wellness and tourism this year took place in a hybrid mode (in Belgrade and online) on 15 April.
The event aimed at promoting the sustainable development of both rural and wellness tourism, as well as at fostering the tourist offer in rural areas to retain the population in those areas and provide them with employment opportunities, by improving existing tourism products and creating an authentic tourist offer in rural areas.
Participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia had the chance to take part in this platform of regional cooperation for professionals operating in the field of rural, health, wellness, and spa tourism sectors, through networking and exchange of best practices.
The discussions also delved into possible recovery business models to be implemented as a result of the crisis caused by the global pandemic.
