The First Innovation BootCamp under the CEI KEP AUSTRIA project Aim@Innovations, supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation, took place in Skopje on 13-15 October, 2015.
The event organised by I-lab.mk within the project’s main partner institution Knowledge Center witnessed the participation of representatives from 25 small and medium-sized Macedonian enterprises.
The trainers at the event Andrijana Bogdanovska from Knowledge Center, Macedonia, Wolfgang Schabereiter from Brain +, Austria (Project Know-how provider) and Çağrı Bulut from Yasar University, Turkey, delivered a dynamic three-day training experience, strengthened by contributions from two successful Macedonian SMEs, i.e. Macedonia Export and iVote who spoke about innovative products they are marketing. The gathering was complemented by a presentation delivered by IPR expert Mirjana Stankovik and by EBRD representative, Danica Pisheva.
The interactive event gave participants the chance to share their experience in the business climate in Macedonia, along with their needs and plans regarding the introduction of new products or services on the market and more efficient marketing strategies.
“We are very pleased with the interest SMEs have demonstrated in innovation management training. It is clear that they are very much aware of the benefits arising from a successful commercialisation of their ideas on the market. We strongly believe the establishment of I-lab.mk as a center in Macedonia where SMEs can receive the required knowledge and advice will be crucial for their further growth and profitability.” said Andrijana Bogdanovska, Knowledge Center director.
Although Aim@Innovations is ending on 15 November 2015, the Innovation BootCamp is the first of a series of similar events under preparation within I-lab.mk until the end of the year.

The KEP AUSTRIA - part of CEI Know-how Exchange Programme - is financed by Austria, with funding provided by the Austrian Development Cooperation (based on an agreement between the Central European Initiative and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). Since 2008 it has committed around 900.000,00 EUR for 31 Projects. The Programme aims at promoting capacity building and technical assistance through know-how transfer from CEI EU to CEI non-EU Member States.
