The Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) convened in Sarajevo on December 16, 2010, the 2nd Meeting of the Network of High-level Experts on Energy.
In introducing the discussion, Ms. Jelica Minić, Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation - the operational arm of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) - underlined the rationale for the New Mid-term Strategy in view of the key challenges in the Western Balkans. She indicated Energy and Infrastructure as a top priority, underlining the positive contribution expected to come from SEDRI (Sustainable Energy Development Regional Initiative), jointly launched last October together with the CEI Secretariat.
In this context, Ms. Minic noted with satisfaction that SEDRI has been formally included among the actions to be implemented within the new EU Danube Region Strategy. Moreover, she foresaw a fruitful collaboration with the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna.
