Lithuania receives 150 Jltv armored all-terrain vehicles

(ANSA) - VILNIUS, AUG 23 - The Lithuanian Army has received a batch of more than 150 units of the U.S.-made Jltv armored all-terrain vehicles. This was announced in a press release from the Vilnius Defense Ministry. "The modernization of the Lithuanian military is progressing rapidly," commented Vilnius Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas. "The new batch of Jltv vehicles delivered to Lithuania this week once again demonstrates the close cooperation between the Lithuanian and U.S. military forces. These armored vehicles will also be used as a platform for short-range air defense systems scheduled for delivery between 2025 and 2027." Last year, Lithuania had received a first batch of 200 vehicles. Another 150 vehicles will be delivered over the next year. (ANSA).
